Qualified candidates will be able to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, and deliver solutions that create a cleaner, safer world. Technicians work in the service shop as well as customers’ facilities and provide top notch quality customer service and communication to minimize costs and ensure satisfaction. Technicians must maintain the proper tools, parts, and supplies in their service vehicles in order to have the necessary tools on hand to accurately diagnose and solve customer’s equipment issues. In addition to being able to repair equipment, technicians are expected to be able to communicate the equipment’s operating instructions to customers
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on Tennant, Clarke, and similar competitive products
Maintain records of all service activities and business reporting documentation by using customer repair order logs, service agreements, completed repair orders, timesheets, machine checklists, receiving records, expense reports, and service agreements
Efficiently manage inventory levels to maximize inventory turns while minimizing return trips to customers
Properly communicate customer preventative maintenance schedules and future service needs
Estimate machine repair requirements and prepare necessary data in order to provide an accurate repair quote to the client
Minimum of two years’ work experience including:
Troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing mobile equipment
Demonstrated experience working with one or more of the following: mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, air and water-cooled combustion engines, and diesel-gas-LP powered engine
Demonstrated experience working in direct contact with customers on service-related activities
