Thank you for being a valued Belflex Staffing Network employee. We recognize this is a tough situation for all of us & we wish you well during this time.
COVID-19 is the abbreviation for the specific strain of the novel (new) coronavirus disease 2019 (previously referred to as 2019 N-Cov), which is causing a spread of respiratory illness worldwide. In addressing this issue, we are following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA).
General Health and Safety
Health and safety are always a top priority and as per our usual protocol, sick employees are asked to stay home. We also encourage all employees to practice good hygiene and to wipe down any shared surfaces (keyboard, desks, iPads copiers, doors, etc.) before use and wash their hands thoroughly and often.
Employee Exposure Protocol
Any BelFlex employee who is concerned they may have contracted or been exposed to COVID-19 has been instructed to follow CDC guidelines. This includes contacting a healthcare professional and discussing recent travel, possible exposure or other reasons for concern. The CDC is working with each state’s public health department on COVID-19 testing parameters. Employees must also notify their manager and HR representative immediately that they may have contracted or been exposed to COVID-19 and that they have contacted their healthcare provider for further guidance.
Notification Procedures
Should a BelFlex internal or contract employee be diagnosed with or exposed to COVID-19, we will immediately inform all clients, internal employees and contract workers associated with the individual. If we learn from a client that one of its workers not employed by BelFlex has been diagnosed or exposed, we will immediately notify all of our internal employees and contract workers associated with the individual.
Public Spaces
We encourage all of our employees to travel with antibacterial wipes and hand sanitizer and recommend they avoid activities where they may be exposed to large groups of people.
