Welder
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced HVAC/ Plumbing Welder proficient in Stick, Pipe, and TIG welding. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding for HVAC systems and Plumbing, with the ability to work with various metals, pipe sizes, and welding techniques. As part of our team, you will be responsible for welding HVAC/Plumbing components such as ductwork, piping systems, and related parts with a focus on precision, safety, and efficiency.

First shift 7a-3:30 Monday- Friday OT as needed
Pay Range $30-$35
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Stick, Pipe, and TIG welding on HVAC systems and Plumbing systems, including ductwork, piping, and equipment, ensuring all welds are of high quality and meet specifications.
- Install, repair, and maintain HVAC components such as piping, ducts, and ventilation systems using welding techniques.
- Read and interpret HVAC system blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate welding and installation of components.
- Collaborate with HVAC technicians and other trades to ensure proper integration of welded components into the overall system.
- Use welding equipment and tools such as torches, grinders, saws, and measuring devices to prepare and complete work.
- Inspect and test completed welds to ensure they meet safety standards and specifications.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Troubleshoot welding issues and perform necessary repairs to keep HVAC systems operating efficiently.
- Work on both commercial and residential HVAC projects, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations, including local, state, and federal standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a welder, with specific experience in HVAC systems and welding for piping, ductwork, and related HVAC components.
- Expertise in Stick, Pipe, and TIG welding processes, with a solid understanding of welding techniques and materials used in HVAC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols specific to HVAC systems.
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC system components, piping, and installation processes.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards, including safety regulations and building codes.
- Ability to work effectively with other trades, contractors, and team members to complete projects on schedule.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and high altitudes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with specialized welding processes such as MIG or Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW).
- Knowledge of HVAC-specific welding codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.9 for HVAC piping).
- Familiarity with welding in commercial and industrial HVAC installations.
- Ability to work in both new construction and retrofit projects.
- OSHA certification or other relevant safety certifications.
