BelFlex Honored for Outstanding Social Responsibility Program
Cincinnati, OH, October 12, 2017 – BelFlex Staffing Network (BelFlex), a staffing and flexible workforce solutions firm in the commercial sector, was conferred a 2017 American Staffing Association Care Award honorable mention distinction. This national awards program recognizes outstanding social responsibility initiatives—business processes that produce an overall positive effect on society—among ASA member staffing companies, associate members (staffing industry suppliers), and regional councils and affiliated chapters.
BelFlex was honored for its corporate initiative—the BelFlex Junior Mentoring Program (BJMP)—which encourages at-risk students to graduate from high school and prepares them for the workforce. In 2017, the third year of the program, BelFlex partnered with local high schools, business leaders and community organizations in six cities including Sanford, NC; Cleveland and Chattanooga, TN; Middletown, OH; Tuscaloosa, AL; and Florence, KY. The objective was to teach young adults professionalism in the workplace and provide them with the skills needed to become more employable and confident job seekers. During the eight-week program, 43 BelFlex employees volunteered nearly 1,000 hours, and in total, the company has invested over $20,000 to make the program a success.

The ASA Care Awards honor social responsibility initiatives that involve employee training and professional development, community engagement, “green” business practices, philanthropy, and more. A panel of social responsibility experts selects the honorees.
