Mon-Thur 7AM-6:30PM

Role: The Associate Technician is a working position responsible for aiding in the production and output of the Steel Division on a day-to-day basis.  The Steel Division is a Job Shop environment, so duties may vary.
This is a highly visible position in a fast growth division.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate within the steel fabrication work cell to produce the required parts.
  • Set-up of any plant floor production work cells related to the metal fabrication cell as directed
  • Is an ambassador of safety.  Protects self and others from hazards.  Proactively reduces risk of injury.
  • Continuing education of all Trumpf software pertaining to the metal fabrication business
  • Producing products as required
  • Ensuring adherence to all quality and safety policies and processes at plant floor level
  • Ensuring quality, timing, and labor targets are met for all products produced by PG&A
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise in the steel fabrication work cell, and work to correct.
  • Other duties as required
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
  • The desire to excel as part of a start-up division where everyone shares in the work to achieve success
  • An understanding of manufacturing techniques used by the steel fabrication machinery
  • Ability to become proficient with work cell and ERP Software
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Team oriented/collaboration skills
  • Strong attention to detail
