Salt Operator $19.50 Pay Rate, 5AM- 5PM and 5PM – 5AM (Alternates every 2 months)
Essential Functions:
• Observe safety rules and wear personal protective equipment at all times.
• Complete responsibility for the packaging, warehousing, and shipping of product.
• Unloading and storage of raw materials.
• Accurate completion of shipping documents.
Assist other operators with plant tasks as needed.
• Expected to fully communicate between shifts and other Company personnel.
• Monitor and maintain all equipment and controls, requesting maintenance assistance as needed.
• Keep proper inventory of finished product and packaging supplies on hand.
Special Knowledge, Skills and Training:
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow procedures and instructions
• Basic computer skills (Word/Excel) and effective oral and written skills.
• Fork lift experience is a plus but not required. Fork lift training is offered on site.
