Job Description: The Process Technician troubleshoots the injection molding process to ensure machines are working properly while supporting the efficient operations and continuous improvement of the process. This role will also change out molds, train mold setters, and assist on the shop floor when needed.
Duties:
- Maintain control of processes for injection molding and EOAT (End of Arm Tooling) for automation.
- Verify the correct molds, processes, and auxiliary equipment set up before the machine starts.
- Establish proper molding conditions, perform process monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Follows daily production schedule and prioritizes work for improved efficiency.
- Maintain setup sheets, record changes, and communicate with Sr. Process Technician, Shift Supervisor, and Engineering department about problems that arise.
- Maintains 5S housekeeping and adheres to all safety guidelines including wearing of PPE.
- High school Diploma or GED.
- Must have at least 3 years of injection molding experience including working with injection mold processes, robots, the ability to set up, start, and troubleshoot injection molds, and working with quality standards, and automation.
- Must be detail-oriented, logical, and methodological in approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, sit, stand, and move about the facility for extended periods.
