Maintenance Technician

• Perform general maintenance activities in a team atmosphere to meet or exceed safety, environmental and production goals to keep the production units and supporting facilities in an utmost reliable working condition.
• A Mechanic is expected to use their judgment to make decisions that will contribute to the overall plant efficiency, objectives and policies.
• Safety and all environmental issues will be foremost in the overall consideration in forming these judgments. Install, troubleshoot and repair various types of mechanical equipment; including, but not limited to pumps, valves, compressor, conveyors, blowers, heat exchangers, presses and misc. rotating equipment, etc. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on the same equipment.
• Perform safe and proper skills at welding, burning, rigging and pipefitting.
• Fabricate and replace/install piping system. Perform safe and proper skills of shop power equipment and ordinary hand and power tools.
• Safely operate overhead cranes, mobile crane, fork trucks, scissor lift, snorkel lift, etc.
• Perform work with minimum supervisor from written or verbal work orders. Adhere to all established work rules and ensure work areas are neat and clean. Follow all plant safety, operating procedures, work with minimal supervision and ensure work areas are neat and clean.  (The term waste will also include Hazardous, nonhazardous, and universal).   

• Requirements
• At least one year of service 
• No high school diploma/GED required
• No background required
• Steel-toed boots and long sleeve shirts required
• Drug test required

Belflex staffing is hiring a Maintenance Technician.  Hours will be Wednesday to Sunday from 6:00am-2:30pm or Wednesday to Sunday from 2:00pm-10:30pm.
