Business Development Specialist I

Full-Time | Sales | Little Rock, AR, US

Position Summary

BelFlex has partnered with a company that is seeking a motivated Business Development Specialist I to join our team in Little Rock, AR. This position supports customers and the outside sales team by identifying new opportunities, managing accounts, and helping to increase revenue. The ideal candidate will handle cold calls, respond to product inquiries, assist with quotes and orders, maintain CRM data, and help forecast customer needs.

This role plays an essential part in driving growth for our Infrastructure Distribution business through proactive communication, research, and relationship-building.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify customer needs to support growth strategies and achieve defined sales targets.

  • Make outbound calls to potential customers, manage email follow-ups, and re-engage inactive accounts.

  • Assist in training and supporting the continued growth of the Business Development Team.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal sales teams.

  • Conduct product needs analysis and expand knowledge of company offerings.

  • Collect and analyze market data, stay informed about industry trends, and report findings to management.

  • Participate in product forecasting and act as a liaison between customers and internal teams.

  • Maintain accurate CRM data and ensure all customer interactions are properly documented.

  • Support and collaborate with the outside sales team to drive regional growth.

  • Attend meetings, provide performance feedback, and contribute to a positive team culture.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 2–3 years of experience in inside sales, business development, or customer service preferred.

  • Experience in the infrastructure, construction, or distribution industry is a plus.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM software preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Detail-oriented and results-driven with a strong sense of initiative.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.


Additional Requirements

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and interpret measurements.

  • Read, write, and understand business documents, reports, and procedures.

  • Occasional light travel may be required.

  • Must be dependable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality.
