Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Read and understand the Lock out tag out procedure. Follow safe working practices.
- Perform daily, monthly and quarterly checks that are required for each piece of equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe workstation.
- Understand basic electricity and follow safety requirements when working with or around electrical hazards.
- Perform trouble shooting and repairs on electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Examine and maintain protective guards and other safety devices on all equipment and adjust as necessary.
- Interaction with automated handling systems.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
- Must possess good communication skills
- Work to support other technicians as well as other departments’ personnel on projects
- Ability to maintain electromechanical systems and possess a general understanding of relay wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Need to have a basic understanding of PLC systems
- Need to have the ability to read hydraulic schematics
Language Skills – Ability to read, write and comprehend moderate instructions.
Mathematical Skills – Basic mathematical skills add subtract multiply and divide.
. Reasoning Ability – The ability to troubleshoot basic break downs example:
- Motor not running
- Check incoming power
- Check fuse, breaker or overload
- Check to see if motor or wiring is grounded
- If this checks out replace the fuse or reset breaker or overload and restart
- Perform an amp draw
- If this checks out, return to service
Be able to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
