Summary – Performs limited duties in an industrial setting. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2-4 years of related experience. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Read and understand the Lock out tag out procedure. Follow safe working practices.

Perform daily monthly and quarterly checks that are required for each piece of equipment.

Maintain a clean and safe work station.

Understand basic electricity and follow safety requirements when working with or around electrical hazards.

Fabricate and welding as required.

Language Skills – Ability to read and write, and comprehend moderate instructions.

Mathematical Skills – Basic mathematical skills add subtract multiply and divide.

Reasoning Ability – The ability to troubleshoot basic break downs example:
  • Motor not running
  • Check incoming power
  • Check fuse, breaker or overload
  • Check to see if motor or wiring is grounded
  • If this checks out replace the fuse or reset breaker or overload and restart
  • Perform an amp draw
  • If this checks out, return to service

  Be able to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
