Position Overview
The CNC Programmer will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery to produce precision components. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in machining, machine operation, and quality assurance, with a demonstrated ability to oversee production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and edit CNC programs to manufacture precision components.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including deburring, vibro, and fine blanking machinery.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Conduct periodic quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain productivity.
- Oversee production processes to ensure safety, efficiency, and adherence to deadlines.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality control teams to optimize workflow.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and follow safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a CNC Machinist or CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of machine functions and operations.
- Ability to perform quality inspections and identify variances.
- Forklift-certified or willingness to become certified (sit-down and stand-up).
- Proficiency with computers and ability to learn CNC programming software.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CAD/CAM or CNC programming software.
- Knowledge of precision stamping, machining, or related manufacturing processes.
- Supervisory or team lead experience in a production setting.
