Overview:
As the Lead Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of technicians in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment such as switchboards, circuit breakers, transformers, and more. The role requires extensive travel and a hands-on approach to both technical work and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of technicians in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems (switchboards, transformers, circuit breakers, etc.).
- Perform inspections and testing on low and medium-voltage systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using manuals, schematics, and engineering support
- Mentor and guide junior technicians, ensuring efficient execution of work.
- Maintain detailed reports of all service work, including repairs, testing, and component replacements.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Manage fieldwork schedules and ensure quality customer service and satisfaction
- Required: 3+ years of experience in elecrial maintenance, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Education: Highschool diploma/GED required (technical education or military experience preferred)
- Skills: Experience with low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical systems, electrical tools (multimeter, Megger, Hi-Pot) and OSHA standards
- Ability to lift 70 lbs. and work in tight spaces
- Must be able to travel 50-85% of the time (domestic and remote locations)
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
