  • Assembly/kitting Position. Here is a job description for the role. This role hand kits and uses a small machine once and a while.

  • Participate in the continual development and improvement of warehouse standard operating procedures.
  • Operate kitting machine and equipment designed to create kits/parts for assemblies, including set-ups and proper operation of machine.
  • Create kits to meet customer requirements.
  • Troubleshoot kitting machine issues/jams, work to resolve.
  • Ensure proper machine maintenance is completed to keep equipment operating at optimal capacity.
  • Perform general duties involving physical handling of product, materials, and supplies.
  • Exhibit a personal commitment to accuracy and quality of work.
  • May use a variety of hand tools to create assemblies to meet customer requirements.
  • Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed.
  • Meet daily receiving, production, and shipment requirements.
  • Take an active role in supporting and maintaining safety programs.
  • Actively embrace and promote a positive work culture.
  • Perform continuous bending, kneeling, twisting, lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, team-based environment.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with computer-programmed machines, with competency in machine set-up.
  • Quality standards/ISO work environment experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of fasteners and fastener inspection preferred.
  • Ability to work with others in a manner that promotes teamwork and a positive work environment.
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with internal and external customers.
  • Polite and professional manner.
  • Time management skills, delegation skills, and attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated, well organized.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to drive results with or without a great deal of direct supervision.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.
  • Able to communicate fluently in English.
