Job Details and Duties
- $40K-70K annually
- 1st shift, Monday-Thursday (7:30am-4:30pm) and Friday (7:30am-1:30pm)
- Access customer inquiries related to machine tools, evaluate project requirements, and prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and quotations.
- Develop precise cost estimates by analyzing materials, labor, and production costs for machine tools and related services
- Work closely with the sales, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of estimates and quotations
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain updated pricing and availability for machine tools and components
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external customers regarding pricing, product specifications, and delivery timelines
- Maintain and organized and up-to-date record of all quotes, pricing data, and customer interactions to ensure smooth follow-up and reporting
- Provide regular updates to the sales manager regarding on going quotation, bid status, and overall sales opportunities
Job Requirements
- 1–2-year experience as an estimator, sales estimator, or in a related role preferably in the machine tool, manufacturing, heavy equipment or engineering industries
- Must have a strong understanding of cost estimation practices specific to machine tools and manufacturing processes
- Must be familiar with CAD or other technical drawing software
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and machine tool specifications
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
