BelFlex Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an BelFlex Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.

What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?

  • Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from BelFlex Staffing should not provide any information.
  • If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges. Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam
  • BelFlex Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
  • Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.
  • BelFlex Staffing email addresses follow the format: first_initial.lastname@belflexstaffing.com (j.doe@belflex.com) or location@belflex.com.
  • The phone numbers for BelFlex Staffing are available on our website. You are encouraged to verify the numbers of the recruiter.

We do require that you complete all your electronic onboarding before we can place you on a job. We would prefer you complete these prior to setting up an interview.

Do you have a referral program?

Yes! Please contact your local BelFlex office to refer a friend. We pay you $50 after your friend works 40 hours for BelFlex.

What information will I be given prior to starting an assignment?

We will give you all the information needed, such as what to wear, how to get there, what you will be doing, who to ask for when you get there, and how long we anticipate the assignment will last.

Can you fill out my employment verification form?

Not in our local office. This is handled through the Work Number at 1-800-367-5690. They will be able to help you!

Do I have to bring originals of my IDs?

Yes. The government does not allow us to accept copies.

Yes. We are not permitted to accept expired IDs.

Can I use a printout from the Social Security office because I don’t have my card yet?

No. Sorry, but the government is a stickler for this! (It states right on the printout that it is “not to be used for employment purposes.”) We’re not allowed to accept it.

What types of ID should I bring to my interview?

The government requires that you provide identification that establishes both your identity (picture) and your legal authorization to work in the United States. Many people bring a valid driver’s license (identity) and Social Security card (authorization to work), but there are a variety of acceptable options. https://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/form-i-9-acceptable-documents
