Shipping and Receiving Associate
**Must have Off Load/Load Tanker experience**
- Handle the day to day flow of materials, from raw materials to finish products.
- Assist in the handling of waste materials to ensure proper disposition.
- May assist as helpers for maintenance
Job Requirements
- Eperience on forklift in small and large areas follow procedures for system start-up, operation, shutdown, cleaning, blending and packing assist in routine maintenance and maintain clean work environment perform routine blending calculations
- Handle the day to day flow of materials, from raw materials to finish Products
- Assist in the handling of waste materials toensure proper disposition.
- Some experience and knowledge dealing with chemicals and their hazards.
- Basic math and reading skill Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- RECEIVING· Off-loading of trucks / tankers.· Ensures that proper documentation is obtained from carriers and have the lab sign off on COA’s (to make sure product meets our requirements) prior to unloading.
- Apply Acceptance stickers subject to lab approval
- Turn all paperwork in to purchasing department daily for posting.
- SHIPPING· Ship orders in accordance with shipping documents (complete Inspection form for each shipment)
- Stage orders the day prior to shipping whenever possible.· Keep shipping area clean and organized.· Staging area cleared daily in preparation of next day’s shipments.
- GENERAL· Samples brought to lab daily, call for dumpster pickup, crush scrap drums· Moving product to proper storage locations· Tankers clean and ready the day before off-loading.· Work with logistics / purchasing / sales / logistics
- Sweeping and cleaning of floors, walls, racks, tank farm dikes, parking lot, etc.· Identifies and corrects unsafe working conditions with management oversight.
- Attends training programs as designated.
- Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed Ensure that quantities are in line with batch ticket.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Must be able to work under cold, hot and humid environments.
- Understand that job requires some potential exposure to chemicals
