BelFelx is partnered with a family owned manufacturer of truck liftgates. Who are looking for a mechanically inclined “hands on” quality control lead.

Direct Hire Opportunity 
First Shift Monday – Friday 
Starting Rate $21

The ideal candidate for this position should have a background in metal fabrication or the industrial equipment manufacturing industry, possess basic metal fabrication skills and have 1-3 years of management/leadership experience. The QA/QC Lead is responsible for ensuring that every gate is built to our exacting quality standards by overseeing our production and manufacturing processes and by making sure our gates are individually inspected for quality before they are allowed to leave our dock.

A successful candidate will maintain and build upon our current quality standards by evaluating our existing production & manufacturing  processes, implementing strategies intended  to improve efficiency and product quality and by effectively  communicating and coordinating with our suppliers, production teams, engineering and our inside/outside sales departments.

Job Requirements
  • Coordinate inspection activities with the production, sales, shipping departments to ensure smooth operations and timely product delivery.
  • Create gate inspection schedules, assign tasks and set/manage deadlines to ensure timely completion and meet gate shipment targets.
  • Monitor and evaluate gate inspection team performance and provide constructive feedback and mentoring to optimize productivity and maintain quality standards.
  • Ability to develop, implement and maintain quality control processes and systems.
  • Ability to monitor, identify and address product quality issues.
  • Document, report and analyze quality metrics to management
  • Possess technical & mechanical aptitude and able to demonstrate a basic understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to understand, read and follow technical blueprints.
  • Ensure adherence to established production procedures and quality control guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to resolve technical issues and implement production process changes to improve product quality and/or efficiency.
  • Willingness to abide by and enforce safety protocols that are put in place to ensure a safe work environment and  to be compliant with relevant OSHA regulations and policies.
  • Associates, Bachelors or Technical Training in Quality Management, Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Basic proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook and possess the ability to learn our Pro-Comm Operations Software that is similar to an AS400 system.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

  • CQE Certification (Certified Quality Engineer Certification) or a Green/Black Belt Six Sigma Certification
  • Prior exposure/experience with Pro-Comm (our production management software) or any ERP Manufacturing/Inventory Management Software.
  • Knowledge of general industry OSHA standards
  • Fluency in Spanish & Understanding of Mexican culture/traditions
  • Military experience
