$20-$28 depending on experience.
2nd and 3rd shift available
Responsible for producing parts from metal or other materials using a CNC equipment that makes precision bends, punches, or cuts into material.
Key Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of CNC controller to input information into machine.
- Adjust RAM and back gauge locations per process control instructions and blueprints.
- Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of equipment per print specifications.
- Use proper inspection methods, i.e. calipers, dial indicators and other precise measuring instruments to check height, depth and thickness.
- Monitor machine to ensure peak performance and to increase output and fix errors if there is a problem.
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance.
- Ability to distinguish material types including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and copper.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in an effective way.
- Ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision while meeting all product quality requirements.
- Ability to detect bad parts.
- Ability to read blueprints/drawings and a knowledge of engineered specific tolerances.
- Ensure machine is calibrated and cleaned.
- Report and document basic material, production and quality control issues.
