Miling Machine Operator
1st and 2nd shift
$18+ depending on experience

Must have knowledge of various milling machines, Bridgeport, Lagumatic, and Fadal VMC. Responsible for entire set-up and operation of machines, including CNC programming, changing tooling, and controlling feeds and speeds, leaving minimal stock for additional machining. Responsible for proper selection of tooling required to mill, drill, tap, cut-off, etc.  Must possess ability to produce parts from raw material to Porter Precision specifications or from prints supplied by engineering. Will be required to operate multiple machines in specified area to maintain workflow and efficiency. Must also ensure parts are prepared for additional machining (clean and burr free).

Must be able to read prints and use various measuring devises.

Measuring equipment used: Micrometers, Calipers, Scales, Optical Comparator.

Responsible for daily clean up and upkeep of equipment, detect and report any faulty equipment. Always have machine locked out and tagged while performing any maintenance
