Job Description:

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Execute diverse tasks to install and upkeep production machinery and plant facilities, optimizing performance and reducing downtime. Your proficiency will be measured by the efficiency of planned and unplanned stop times.
  • Emergency Maintenance: Provide prompt emergency repairs to production equipment during operations, alongside scheduled maintenance during machine servicing intervals.
  • Ownership and Collaboration: Assume ownership of specific machine components while fostering a collaborative team environment. Engage in repairs, preventive maintenance, and predictive maintenance activities across the entire plant
  • Multi-disciplinary Maintenance: Utilize a range of maintenance skills encompassing mechanical, electrical, controls, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, and plumbing troubleshooting and repair
  • Technical Documentation: Interpret equipment manuals and work orders proficiently to execute necessary maintenance and service tasks.
  • Problem Diagnosis and Resolution: Identify issues, replace or repair parts, conduct testing, and make precise adjustments to ensure optimal functionality
  • Equipment Handling: Utilize various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment proficiently in your duties.  
  • Safety and Compliance: Uphold safety, quality, regulatory, and customer standards rigorously, reporting any anomalies promptly and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.

Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Educational Background: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in maintenance within a manufacturing setting or equivalent experience.
  • Electrical Proficiency: Strong background in commercial electrical work with expertise in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical/electronic control circuits.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read circuit diagrams/wiring schematics. Experience with Siemens PLC/VFD (S7 and TIA Portal preferred) and Allen Bradley VFD systems is advantageous.
  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving.
  • Autonomous Work: Capability to identify and resolve technical issues independently while maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 35 pounds, stand on concrete floors for extended periods, and operate forklifts and aerial platform lifts with past operator licensing.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work on-call 24/7, overtime, weekends, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Technical Proficiency: Basic familiarity with MS Office, understanding of the metric system is preferred, and an organized, data-driven approach to work.
