BelFlex is partnered with a company that handles material management solutions in the gas turbine industry as well as developing innovative brazing/coating products. They are looking to add a full-time Machinist to their team.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist with extensive experience operating Lathe, Bridgeport, and Waterjet machines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision machining, capable of producing high-quality parts for a variety of applications. The role will require the ability to read blueprints, set up machines, and ensure the accuracy and quality of finished products.
  • Operate Lathe, Bridgeport, and Waterjet machines to produce precision parts and components for various industries.
  • Set up and calibrate machines according to specifications, ensuring accurate measurements and tolerances.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine machining processes and tool requirements.
  • Select and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and equipment for machining operations.
  • Monitor machine performance, adjusting settings and making necessary changes to achieve optimal performance and quality.
  • Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, tooling, and part quality.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure optimal operation.
  • Follow all safety procedures and ensure a safe working environment, adhering to company safety standards and industry regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience operating Lathe, Bridgeport, and Waterjet machines in a machining or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to set up and operate Lathe, Bridgeport, and Waterjet machines with precision.
  • Strong understanding of machining techniques, including CNC programming and manual machining processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
  • Knowledge of machine tools and their capabilities, including selecting and maintaining cutting tools and fixtures.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repairing machining issues.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with CNC programming or G-code.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for machine setup and part design.
  • Knowledge of metalworking materials, cutting tools, and machining fluids.
  • Experience with advanced machining techniques (e.g., multi-axis milling, precision turning, high-pressure waterjet cutting).
  • Certification in machining or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience working in industries like aerospace, automotive, or high-precision manufacturing.
