The primary responsibilities of the HR Janitorial staff are to maintain a clean and orderly facility. The HR janitor will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and supply in all facility restrooms, all facility cafeterias, all facility office areas, and all facility entry ways and exits. The HR Janitorial staff will be required to assist with other general work functions from the HR department as needed.
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them.
- Clean inside and outside of appliances such as refrigerators, microwaves, water fountains, and ice dispensers.
- Maintain a continual stock of supply in restrooms and cafeterias.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Dust furniture, walls, machines and equipment.
- Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
- Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
- Polish Floors.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Monitor bathroom property damage
- Move heavy equipment, furniture, and supplies; as necessary.
- Set up, arrange, and remove tables, chairs, equipment for events such as banquets and meetings.
- Perform clean up duties as emergency events occur.
- Complete supply orders to ensure a continual stock is available
- Interact with management down to associates as a customer service function.
