BelFlex Staffing is partnering with a local reputable distribution company, seeking motivated forklift operators. Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Job Summary: To Manually or by hand move materials, supplies, to perform material handling assignments. Identify and transport products to designated locations in the facility, trucks, storage areas, or loading docks without damaging product. Essential Functions: 1.Manually or using lift truck performing various materials handling duties in the facility. 2.Take loads of raw material or finished product to the warehouse, trailers or operating lines. 3.Report any inconsistencies to the supervisor. 4.Move product to the lines, with lift in reverse while looking in the direction of travel. 5.Become familiar with picking up and putting away product in designated bay locations. 6.Stage product for outbound loads with correct requirements. 7.Remove and empty dumpster in a safe manner. 8.Changing batteries, and report mechanical or electrical issues to a supervisor. 9.Complete paperwork/documentation properly. 10.Operate hand held radio. Additional Responsibilities 1.Unload and dump scrap into compactor, baler and compacting cycle. 2.Sample raw material for quality testing. 3.Review and inspect the hoist. 4.Understand he or she will inspect the trailer prior to loading, checking floor for weak spots, holes in the floor and sides of trailer. 5.Secure chocks and jack stands correctly under the trailer. 6.Complete any additional duties assigned by management. Job Requirements: 1.High school diploma or GED 2.1 year experience in warehouse environment 3.Ability to meet requirements to become certified clamp drivers 4.Able to sit 10 hours per shift on a lift truck 5.Must be able to lift 60 pounds 6.Must have basic computer skills 7.Can read, write numbers and labels 8.Must be able to add, subtract and multiply 9.Must wear all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) steel toe shoes, safety googles, safety vest, hair/beard bonnet 10.Able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime 11.Able to work in a high-level noise environment
