Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Setup and operate manual and CNC shop equipment (lathes, mills, multi-axis)
- Perform machining operations on all types of materials (ferrous, nonferrous metals and alloys, etc)
- Assist manager in meetings
- Suggest improvement ideas regarding productivity, efficiency, and processes to management and engineering team
- Ensure drawings, specifications, procedures etc are accurate to produce parts
- Perform machine to machine changeovers
- Deburr parts and edges
- Diagnose, detect, and troubleshoot programming issues with machine
- Train Machinist to produce parts
- Use of precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc)
- Communicate any deficiencies to management
- Promote, guide and assist others to meeting Quality Policy and ISO standards and customer expectations
- 5S- Lead team to organize, clean, and maintain tools and equipment work area
- Oversee production goals for a team of CNC Machinist and Operators
Education/Experience
- Highschool Diploma/GED
- Minimum of 9 years experience in CNC machinist role
- Minimum of 7 years experience in Setup and Adjustments
