Set-Up Technician – 1st Shift

Location: Clayton, NC
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $17.00 – $24.00/hr (Based on Experience)

Position Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Set-Up Technician to join our 1st shift production team. The Set-Up Technician will be responsible for setting up and preparing CNC and manual machines for production runs, ensuring optimal machine performance, safety, and part quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform setup of CNC machines and equipment, including tool changes, fixture placement, and machine adjustments.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, process sheets, and technical drawings.
  • Ensure proper alignment, calibration, and machine functionality before production begins.
  • Troubleshoot and correct issues during setup to minimize downtime.
  • Work closely with operators and supervisors to verify part quality during first-article inspections.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
  • Familiarity with CNC machines, setups, tooling, and basic measurement tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.).
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced production setting.
